Dandysme

Historisches, Kulturelles und Literarisches zum Dandy

Lord Petersham

Lord P-r-m, the delicate dandy.
Laced up in stays to show his waist,
And highly rouged to show his taste,
His whiskers meeting ‘neath his chin,
With gooseberry eye and ghastly grin,
With mincing steps, conceited phrase,
Such as insipid P- displays:
These are the requisites to shine
A dandy, exquisite, divine.
