Chanel’s new fall 09 collection is inspired by the dandy of all dandies, Beau Brummell. Karl Lagerfeld calls it “Belle Brummell”. The collection is dominated by black, even though Brummell preferred blue.

Is it not heresy this Lagerfeld abusing the name and style of Beau Brummell in such a manner? An uphill-gardener who has clearly not understood the manierism.
